History: Oh my god, that's so much to type out. Have a link!

Appearance: Here you go!

Personality:

In terms of personality, Dean is a special sort of boy. He's very much the product of his father's upbringing, very awkward and somewhat behind the times. His father didn't really raise him correctly, opting for a 'learning bed' rather than a truly hands on experience in raising his children. As a result, many of Dean's mannerisms and learned behaviour comes from tapes that were recorded to aid his father in his development. It's not as if it's really all bad that he was brought up the way he was, he's practically the poster boy for perfect teenager. Or at least he would have been if this were still 1950's America; familiar with etiquette, respectful toward his elders, polite, optimistic, trusting to a fault and seems almost painfully naive. Think of the words 'golly' and 'gee', now look at his picture again. Yep, there you go.

He's polite and nice, even to the people that he doesn't have to be. Oh dear, you have a problem? Dean will listen, he's very good at listening and even offers rather helpful advice where it's needed. Because of the people around him, he knows that not everyone is good but he wants to do what he can for them; even if it means taking a moment from himself. Even so, he does have his limits and will snap if pushed hard enough. No one can be perfectly civil to people all the time, after all, especially not when they are being rude and inconsiderate to others. He deals with it from his family all the time, appearing to take it as best he can but coming from other people it has the potential to bring out something violent in him. Berserker violent, it doesn't matter if his opponent is twice his size; a bully is a bully and rude people just shouldn't be allowed to treat people that way! This, however, is a very rarely seen side of Dean Venture; in fact the one time this is witnessed it was over a girl and some kids.

He'll stutter some around new people, especially girls. Even if he's amiable enough to most people, he's still incredibly awkward and unpracticed when it comes to social interactions. He often speaks without realising that what's been said could have another meaning and if things get too tense or he gets too nervous, he tends to spout 'nonsense' at them, it's almost an attempt to break the ice just that much more. I use the term nonsense loosely here, because in context it doesn't make sense to the other person but he's actually throwing out random facts and trivia. It means something to him, science is actually very important to him; even if he's barely starting on his own scientific career. He doesn't really want this though, in fact he'd much rather be reporter or a gladiator or something. Or a husband, that's on his list of dreams as well, but he's very hung up on keeping people happy and often keeps his feelings hidden if he feels that it might upset or disappoint someone else.

Despite being reserved, he loves adventure and a good mystery here and there. He'll take up even the most mundane of tasks if he thinks there's something to learned or discovered, though he's not always successful. Given the lifestyle of his father, he does have a hunger for adventure and often leaps into things without thinking about how dangerous it can be. Kidnapped? Yeah, been there. Married to a man with a metal jaw? Yeah, done that too. In fact, sometimes he doesn't quite comprehend that a person or a situation can be dangerous to him; this is where trusting to a fault comes into play. In most cases he'll do nearly anything to placate people, even if it happens to be something completely off the charts. He might think it odd, but if it's coming from an adult he's likely to go along with it just to be safe and be sure that he's not going to get in trouble for something.

While he doesn't actively hate his life or the way things have turned out for him, he does sometimes wish for things to be normal. He wants a regular family, to the point that he questions many older women in hopes that they might actually be his mother. He may not voice it, but it's clear when he's lost in his own little world that normalcy and stability is something that he would like in his life. He is prone to flights of fancy that are more suited to a younger boy, this is likely a defense mechanism to protect him from the chaos surrounding his small world. Naive as he can be, he is intelligent and can be very logical. While he is coming from an earlier canon point, I feel it's necessary to mention that if things are repressed for too long he can snap completely. In current episodes he's having something of an identity crisis, which given the circumstances of a kidnapping that he will likely never be rescued from could come into play at a later date.

Abilities:

Fail mystery solving skills.
A knack for listening to people and talking them down.
Rare berserker rage.
Book smarts, not street smarts.

Other:

He's died many times, but is not aware of this? Also as mentioned above, he's a clone.

First Person:

VIDEO

[ Up on your screen is a rather clean-cut, freckle-faced boy. Well, clean-cut save for the haphazard formation of hair on his upper lip. He's not terrified, this sort of thing is normal for him really, but he does look mildly uncomfortable. ]

E-excuse me, can anyone hear me? Pop? Hank? Uncle Hatred?

[ A pause as he frowns just a little, tilting his head some. It wasn't as if the device had been hard to figure out, but he was more used to his wrist communicator. Instead of continuing there's a long pause, as if he's waiting for someone to say something. Finally he takes in a breath and knits his brow, as if he realises that he's not going to get an answer. ]

If you can hear me I'm at a place called Holly Heights, I can spell it if you need me to...or not, I guess?

[ He's very unsure at this point, voice just a little bit more unsteady than before. He goes on to spell it anyway, kidnapping aside it was a little disconcerting for him to not have an answer. Even a peep or some static would be helpful. ]

It's H O L L Y, there's no E or anything. Well, there is in 'heights' but not in 'holly'...

[ He stops again, frowning and looking almost resolute, he's no longer looking into the camera, but instead looking around him. ]

Just you wait, landlord man, my pop'll be here any minute to get me and then...then we're going home!

[ Strong words for someone that doesn't look nearly as brave now as he's trying to sound. He opens his mouth a few times to speak again, words not coming as he finally shuts down the feed. ]

Third Person:

He'd waited for quite some time on the porch, sitting there cross-legged and staring out into the street. He'd thought long and hard about this, that perhaps he'd been kidnapped again but he wasn't tied up or anything. In fact, it kind of seemed nice here, like something from a dream...

He perked up a little at that thought, sitting up straight for the first time in at least 30 minutes, patting a fist down into his open palm. That must be it, a dream!

"...or maybe a test!" He finally uttered out loud, pushing himself up to his feet. The envelope with his name on it, if he'd thought to check that first maybe he would have gotten it. Maybe he wouldn't have worried about why he was here on his own, he stared at it for a moment, finally pulling it open to look for clues. Clues, yes.

If it was a test, it was sort of like a mystery, right? Ri--

Mother? Was that...did that say...? He sat there staring at the page in front of him, mouth gaping wide.

"...I'm going to meet my mommy!"

It didn't take much more than that for him to leap up to his feet, lanky legs nearly getting tangled in themselves as he made his way to the door. Perhaps, just perhaps, this was going to be the best day of his life.

OTHER;
Housing Request?: No preference really, but it would be awesome if he could get into a house with a mother. :(
